Inter-Canyon Fire Safe Council
A recognized leader in the state, the Inter-Canyon Fire Safe Council is dedicated to educating residents on the danger of fire. The Council organizes regular “chipper” days during which residents can recycle hazardous brush removed from their property; sets up booths at local fairs; invites residents to informational seminars on fire protection; distributes fire prevention information, and coordinates with local authorities.
The council meets monthly and includes residents, local volunteer firefighters, and members of the Orange County Fire Authority, US Forest Service and Sheriff’s Department.
Each year more than 400 residents participate in Fire Safe Council activities.
