CANYON WATCH MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT

A meeting of Canyon Watch is being scheduled for Monday evening April 3, 2006 7:00 pm at the Calvary Chapel of the Canyons Fireside Room.
Several items on the docket:
- New members. The Emergency Preparedness Academy has generated interest in the Canyon Watch/Fire Watch programs.
- Revised method of handling the radios during patrols or emergencies. It may simplify radio use.
Also be easier for non licensed personnel to use a radio on the Halfway repeater.
- Some ideas from the Emergency Communications Certification Training Program from REACT.
- I am hoping Wayne Barringer will be there to lead us in a practice radio drill using FRS and GMRS radios.
