LOCAL CANYON DWELLERS ARE HONORED

Mary Schreiber,
Fire Safe Council President from Silverado Canyon, and Phil
McWilliams of Modjeska Canyon, were recently
given Commendations and Thanks from the California State
Legislature and from the local Fire Authorities in Modjeska
Canyon for their ongoing efforts to educate canyon residents
about ways to lessen fire danger around their homes and
businesses.
The recognitions were given at the annual
Modjeska Firefighters Awards Dinner.
Gene
Robinson, long time Silverado resident and head of
the Silverado Fire Watch Group, was recognized by the REACT
radio club of Corona, and given a lifetime membership award by
that organization.
